As the foundation of all dances, ballet is fundamental to the education of any dancer. While learning technique, students build proper posture and carriage, develop grace and control and gain self-confidence and personal discipline. Ballet classes improve a student's ability and performance in all other forms of dance. The class concentrates on terminology & technique. The intermediate and advanced levels are encouraged to take more than one class per week.
The time a ballet student advances to Pointe is determined by the Instructor and is based on a student's individual strength and ability. Students must take a minimum of three years of ballet training to be considered for Pointe and an assessment will be made by the instructor.
